Hopefully this cold weather won’t last too long and we’ll soon be enjoying the sunnier and longer days of spring!
With the cold weather we get cold seas and this encourages some species of fish to our waters that we’d not normally see. Just this week we have had some beautiful cod landed by a day-boat out of Plymouth. The translucent flakes are big and succulent and stocks look to be plentiful during this cold weather.
While we can get it we’ll be pan-roasting fillets of this beautiful cod and serving it on a bed of potato & olive mash with a green sauce that cuts through the richness of the fish. Enjoy it with a chilled glass of Gavi or Viognier – yum!Robert & Deborah - 5th February 2012
